Canned food drive will help feed the local hungry

(EDINBURG, TX – November 10, 2010) – Spa La Posada is partnering up with the Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley this November to contribute to the effort of helping those that are in need of food. For every five canned food items a customer brings into the store, the customer will be rewarded with a free paraffin hand treatment. Plus, $5 from every pedicure service given during the month of November will be donated to the Food Bank (pedicure prices begin at $35).

“There are so many people that are hungry and struggling to feed their families. It’s hard to believe that $5 equates to 25 full meals, but it does and seems a simple feat that has tremendous rewards,” said Edna Posada, owner of Spa La Posada. “That’s why I’m proud to be helping out the Food Bank and I encourage others to do the same.”

The local community can support this campaign by stopping by Spa La Posada, which has three locations Valleywide: Uptown Plaza, 4500 N. 10th St., Ste. 120 in McAllen; 1205 E. Tyler in Harlingen; and Sunrise Mall, 2370 N. Expressway 83, Ste. 1470 in Brownsville.
